MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (AP) -

Authorities now say a hit-and-run crash that killed a teenager in Andover was likely not an accident.

Anoka County sheriff's officials said Sunday that the driver of a vehicle that struck and killed 17-year-old Tristan Robinson of Nowthen on Friday night intentionally struck him. Robinson died at the scene. They are now classifying the case as second-degree murder.

Authorities say the hit-and-run was part of a drug-related robbery. A teenager from St. Francis is in custody.

A second teenager, 17-year-old Daveion Maddox, was arrested on Sunday.

A third teen, 19-year-old Loren Gafner, is still at large. Police believe he was driving the car.

The suspect vehicle, which police are looking for, is described as a gray 2005 Mercury Montego with front-end damage.

Authorities say there is concern that Gafner has access to a handgun. Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office at 763-427-1212.
