Austin students play football with Vikings legends

AUSTIN, Minn. (KTTC) -

Some lucky kids got one-on-one football training from the veteran pros themselves: the Vikings.

The annual free football camp returned Saturday morning to Austin at the Ellis Middle School Gymnasium, giving kids the chance to practice with former Vikings players Carl Lee, Darrin Nelson, and Mark Mullaney.

They practiced different drills, maneuvers and tactics - basically played football together for about two hours.

Austin High School varsity coaches and players were also there to help out. The Minnesota Viking Cheerleaders were running a cheerleader camp for girls.

Members of the Austin High School Cheerleader and Dance team also helped with the camp.

After the camp there was a pizza party at George's Pizza for everyone involved.
