Flames destroy car in Genoa

GENOA, Minn. (KTTC) -

A fire destroyed a car and caused minor damage to a home northwest of Rochester Wednesday evening.

The blaze broke out at around 6:08 p.m. outside a home on Main Street Northwest in Genoa.

According to Mike Brown, deputy chief of the Pine Island Fire Department, it was unclear what exactly caused the fire that consumed the car. But crews did find some oxygen tanks inside the vehicle.

No one was hurt, Brown said. The fire caused some minor heat damage to the home, he added.
