None injured after garage fire in northwest Rochester

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -

The fire started in a detached 2 car garage on the 6000 block of 13th Avenue NW Saturday afternoon.

The homeowner's adult son was working in there when it started.

He tried to put it out but ended up calling 911.

The fire department put out the flames within half an hour.

According to the fire department, the garage is a complete loss.

The house was practically unscathed, with only minor melted siding and a broken window.

They're still investigating the cause of the fire but mentioned that there were riding mowers and lawn tractors in the garage.
