ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -

Mary Rossman has been helping families in our area for the past 18 years, and she's one of KTTC and United Way of Olmsted County's 10 Who Make a Difference.

Rossman has been a leader in the non-profit volunteer group Bundles of Love since it began in 1998. Volunteers with Bundles of Love make baby clothes and blankets by hand for families in need and bundles them with essential items like diapers and baby wipes.

The organization gave away 442 bundles throughout southeast Minnesota in 2015, and Rossman says it's all worth it when she knows someone in need has been helped.

"Seeing the thank yous and notes that come from the mothers that have gotten these bundles - how much it means to them, to think that someone that doesn't know them would do something for them like that," said Rossman.

The 10 Who Make a Difference, including Rossman, will all be honored next Wednesday in a ceremony during Rochesterfest.

Gov. Mark Dayton has vetoed a GOP-backed bill that would increase penalties for protesters who block freeways or transit lines. The debate started last year in response to protests over officer-involved shootings of two black men that shut down interstates and blocked the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.
