REVERE, Minn. (AP) - A southwestern Minnesota man who crashed his vehicle twice in the same week while under the influence of alcohol did not survive the second crash. The State Patrol says 22-year-old Landon Evans crossed into the path of a semi on Highway 14 in Revere Saturday and was killed.

ESTHERVILLE, Iowa (AP) - Residents of a northwest Iowa town say they're being overwhelmed by the stench from a nearby rendering plant. An Emmet County official says Estherville residents have filed more than 300 odor complaints against the Central Bi-Products plant. Emmet County Supervisor Jeff Quastad says the odor from the plant smells "like death, like rotting flesh." The county Board of Supervisors has decided to pursue fines against the plant for violating its use permit.
