ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -

A Pine Island man is facing charges after allegedly making threats toward Mayo Clinic on Facebook.

Capt. John Sherwin of the Rochester Police Department said that on December 3, Adam Bussman, 36, posted a picture of an appointment paper with the caption "Intern hunting I go."

About an hour later he allegedly posted a photo of himself holding a replica AK-47 with comments about his dissatisfaction with treatment at Mayo Clinic. That caption read "not fond of the fill-in therapist." The comments underneath that photo say "it's in my notes that I have an unusual sense of humor."

Capt. Sherwin said police went to Bussman's workplace and arrested him Friday. They also found less than an ounce of marijuana on him. According to court records, he faces three charges, including 5th degree possession of a controlled substance, terroristic threats, and displaying a replica firearm.

Mayo Clinic released a statement on Monday saying they take threats against their staff very seriously. The statement says in light of recent national and regional events, patients, visitors, and staff are strongly encouraged to be vigilant and report any suspicious or threatening activities.
