Wrist watches in Olmsted County Jail lead to drug charges

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -

An increase of wrist watches coming into the Olmsted County Jail has landed one man behind bars facing drug charges.

Aaron Love, 53, of Rochester faces charges of 5th degree sales and possession of a controlled substance, and introducing a controlled substance into a correctional facility.

Staff at the Adult Detention Center were noticing an increase in watches coming into the jail since last Friday. A task force was brought in to investigate, and according to the Olmsted County Sheriff's Office, Love was delivering watches to the jail with 1.1 grams of methamphetamine hidden inside.

Four watches were delivered to the jail, and two people received watches. According to officials, Love did not act alone and this is an ongoing investigation.
