ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- If you're in southeastern Minnesota this July 4th holiday weekend, you've got so many choices of fun things to do that it might be smart to do a little planning ahead of time.

Albert Lea's Freedom Festival will get things rolling on Friday evening with the July 3rd Parade and its spectacular fireworks above Fountain Lake will be on July 4th at dusk.

Austin's Freedom Fest goes wild all day Saturday with activities starting with the YMCA Mini Piggy Fun Run at 10:45 a.m.  The Independence Day Parade steps off at 11 a.m.  The Fire Department's Water Wars will break out at 2 p.m. and you'll be able to enjoy fireworks once again at dusk on July 4th.

Rochester's Silver Lake Park will host "Salute to the 4th!" with a car and motorcycle show, a BMX and Skate Contest, and a Block Party during the daytime hours, then the annual performance by the Rochester Concert Band at 8:30 p.m. and fireworks wrapping things up later over Silver Lake.

If you love a boat parade, then you'll want to be at Clear Lake in Waseca on the 4th!

NewsCenter's Camille Walter has been busy gathering all the info from Rochester, Austin, Albert Lea, Harmony, Red Wing, Stewartville and a host of other cities and towns across the region.  Let us know of any others with an email to -- hope you have a great 4th of July!
