ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- Bright, mild, summer-like weather continues Thursday as near 80 degree warmth and some early summer humidity lingers.
We're essentially between storm systems right now as the disturbance that brought showers and thunderstorms to the area on Wednesday has moved away to the northeast and the next to affect us will stay southwest of our local area until Thursday night.
Expect morning fog and then occasional sunshine later on with a little haze hanging around through the afternoon. High temperatures Thursday will be in the upper 70s. A few showers and storms will move in close to midnight Thursday and may linger through the mid-morning hours Friday as that center of that storm system hovers in central Iowa.
Skies will clear off later Friday and dry weather will continue until mid afternoon Saturday when another storm system brings some showers and storms to the area for the latter part of the day. Those rain chances will wind down by early Sunday afternoon with sunshine and mid 70s expected later in the day. Sunshine will dominate through most of next week with a little rain possible late Wednesday and for much of Friday while highs will be in the upper 70s and low 80s all week long. In the meantime, enjoy today's summery warmth and have a great Thursday!
