Fast-food workers to protest for $15-an-hour wages

MINNEAPOLIS (NBC) -- Fast-food workers are planning to walk off the job on Wednesday.

Organizers at http://fightfor15.org/april15/ said fast-food workers from more than 200 cities nationwide will go on strike throughout the day, demanding a $15 hourly wage and the right to form unions.

The organizers said protests will also be held in as many as 40 other countries. According to fightfor15.org, the big rally in our region is in Minneapolis at the University of Minnesota campus at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.
