ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- A Rochester high school robotics team is eager to start building after a competition kickoff on Saturday.

The annual robotics tournament they compete in, the First Robotics Competition at Mayo High School, unveils their game every year during the first weekend of the year. This year, the objective is to build a robot in six weeks that is capable of moving and stacking recycling themed items, such as a recycling bin and a plastic storage bin.

The team, Inconceivable, is composed of students from all three public high schools in Rochester. Their adviser, Vince Wagner, said the team's goal is tough, but that it'll be worth it to see how their robot compares to the others.

"One of the best parts for me is going to the regional competition and seeing 60 teams with 60 different robots and 60 different ways to solve the problem they've been presented," said Wagner. "You never see two robots that are the same."

The students will work for four days a week to create and test their robot until their regional match-up in mid-March.
