BLOOMING PRAIRIE, Minn. (KTTC) -- The Minnesota State Patrol says three people were seriously hurt in a multiple vehicle crash north of Blooming Prairie.

It happened shortly before 5:30 a.m. Monday at Highway 218 and 138th Street Southeast. According to the state patrol, a non-injury crash led to the second, serious one. The state patrol initially reported Jeffrey Slowinski, 52, of Blooming Prairie, was the driver of a disabled Ford Ranger. The state patrol has since updated its report to say Zachary Slowinski, 17, of Blooming Prairie, was the driver of the Ranger in the middle of Highway 218 when he was hit by a Lincoln Town Car driven by Princess Meeks, 28, of Byron. Slowinski, Meeks and her passenger, Shannon Irons, 36, of Dexter, were all seriously hurt.

The Steele County Sheriff's Office assisted on the scene.

The state patrol is expected to release additional information on the crash.
