Hayfield groomsmen wait for Jimmy Fallon RSVP

HAYFIELD, Minn. (KTTC) – The countdown is on for the September 6 nuptials of Hayfield native Tyler Kramer and his fiancee, Krystine Svoboda. Unbeknownst to the couple, the groom's brothers, Tanner and Tony Kramer, are attempting to surprise the couple with a visit from their favorite talk show host, The Tonight Show's Jimmy Fallon.

"We came up with an idea for a slow jam,” said Tony Kramer. “My brother had done a slow jam at my wedding a couple years ago so we wanted to one up him a little bit”.

Tony and Tanner hatched a plan in May to invite the special guest to the wedding using social media. The brothers made a video featuring all the reasons Fallon should attend and help perform the slow jam. Their reasons included that the bride and groom were big fans of Fallon's show and that “even though Hayfield wasn't on the top 100 places to visit, it should've been,” according to Kramer's video montage.

"The first thing we knew we had to do was put together sort of a fun video to get Jimmy's attention," Tony said. It may have worked. Since the video went viral with nearly 20,000 views, the brother's have been featured on more than 150 media outlets across the country and then contacted Fallon's agent.

“We get tons of requests everyday. We really appreciate you guys reaching out to us, but I'm not sure if we can do anything,” said Tony when asked what Fallon's agent's response was to their inquiry.

But Tony and Tanner's patience is paying off after their story was shared on Facebook more than 10,000 times and received 100,000 “likes."

"He actually gave us a call back and said 'wow, you guys are actually do great. Let me see what I can do,'” said Tony.

Now, the wedding party is waiting for the final word on whether or not this family wedding will become a star-studded affair. Tony said they're expecting Fallon's RSVP next week.

Meanwhile, the brother's have told the bride and groom to stay off social media until after the wedding. Though they said the couple has grown suspicions, they've honored the request and don't know that the media coverage surrounding their wedding has anything to do with Jimmy Fallon.
