IBM installs components for online health insurance exchange

Posted: Updated:

ST. PAUL, Minn. (KTTC) -- IBM has installed the final versions of software to make sure MNsure is ready for open enrollment in November.

The software IBM installed is designed to determine eligibility for public programs and tax credits, and allow consumers to enroll in qualified health plans. People will also be able to automatically renew coverage or make changes to coverage due to life events like getting married or having kids.

There is still some integration and customization work that will be done through the rest of the month before system tests are conducted in early September.
