Olmsted County Relay for Life gets underway Friday night

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) --  People will gather Friday night to walk together in the fight against cancer as Olmsted County Relay for Life gets underway at University Center Rochester.

Sarah Sexton is this year's Relay for Life Honorary Caregiver. Her husband, Paul, lost a lengthy battle with cancer on March 14.

She was by his side every step of the way.

"I went to every appointment. Stayed every night in the hospital with my husband Paul. We really needed that time together. The relay we've done a few years now and it's a great family event for all of us. It's a great way to raise awareness and raise money for the American Cancer Society," Sexton said.

Relay for Life gets underway at 6:30 p.m. at University Center Rochester

We'll have a KTTC team walking and we'd love to see you there. If you're headed to Relay for Life, we'd love to see your photos as well at share@kttc.com
