Level 3 sex offender moving to Claremont

CLAREMONT, Minn. (KTTC) --  A Level 3 sex offender will move to Claremont in July.

The Dodge County Sheriff's Office said Curtis Edward Higgins, 53, will not be allowed to be in contact with minors and will be under supervision until 2024.

Higgins was arrested in the early 90s on multiple offenses of sexual misconduct with underage girls. His most recent arrest came in 2005 after he was caught having sexual relations with a 14-year-old girl.

Higgins is one of eight sex offenders registered in Claremont.

He is the only one registered as a Level 3, which is considered to be the highest risk to public safety.
