Torch Run for Special Olympics kicks off

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) --  Local residents teamed up with Olmsted County law enforcement on Tuesday to raise awareness for Special Olympics.

Participants are running, jogging or walking. Some are even riding bikes for a total of 96.7 miles! You just may see runners carrying the torch through your town.

The torch run started at the Rochester Government Center steps, and will continue to make its way up to Hastings Roadside Park.

The group should finish about 7 p.m. Tuesday.
