Concerns over violence in Iraq increases gas prices

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- Concerns over increasing violence in Iraq has sent prices up at the pump.

The average price per gallon for unleaded rose two cents over the past two weeks to $3.71 a gallon.

Analysts point to industry-wide fears over growing violence and instability in Iraq, and how the situation will affect oil production there.

According to AAA, Rochester gas prices are a little below the national average at $3.57 a gallon.

Tucson, Arizona has the lowest average price at $3.37 a gallon. Chicago has the highest at $4.15 a gallon.
