Consultants say MNsure has improvements to make

ST. PAUL, Minn. (KTTC) -- Consultants have told the board that governs Minnesota's health insurance exchange that there is a lot of work ahead to get ready for open enrollment in November.

Deloitte Consulting gave the board an initial assessment Wednesday of what parts of the website still need to be fixed.

Officials said top priorities include the ability to handle people whose eligibility changes because of circumstances like births as well as renewing coverage for the more than 240,000 people enrolled in plans through MNsure.

The next open enrollment period begins Nov. 15.
