Rep. Ron Kind donates check to lower deficit

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW)—Wisconsin 3rd District Congressman Ron Kind presents a check donating about $56,000 to the U.S. Treasury to help pay down the deficit.

Every year since Kind took office, he has donated back a portion of his congressional budget saving taxpayers a grand total of $1.5 million dollars.

Kind is also pushing for more fiscal responsibility in Congress, especially related to rising health care costs, defense spending, and outdated farm subsidy programs.

Kind will speak at the Wisconsin Democratic Party convention in support of gubernatorial candidate, Mary Burke.
