UPDATE: Rochester man who fled officers appears in court

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- A Rochester man who led police on a chase from Kasson to Rochester appeared in court on Thursday.

Randy Rocha, 26, is facing four counts:
1st degree burglary invasion with assault, felony
    2nd controlled substance, felony
Obstructing legal process with force, gross misdemeanor
Possession of drug paraphernalia, petty misdemeanor

Back of May 22, a pursuit had started in Kasson and ended when Rocha exited his car at the intersection of 7th Street NW and Manor Drive NW in Rochester.

Rochester police say Rocha hid in a home after breaking in through a window. The homeowner forced Rocha out of the home. That's when officers used a taser on Rocha to arrest him.

Police say they found 18 grams of methamphetamine on Rocha, with a value of around $2,000.

Rocha's next court appearance will be an omnibus hearing on June 20th.
