Construction crews hit gas line in SW Rochester

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- Firefighters responded to a natural gas leak after a construction company hit a gas line Wednesday afternoon.

The accident happened just after 3:30 p.m. behind Kwik Trip on Second Street Southwest.

According to the Rochester Police Department, a half-inch residential gas line was hit by construction crews.

Kwik Trip did have to shut down their car wash, but did not evacuate the building.

Minnesota Energy was called in to turn off and fix the gas line.

No injuries were reported.
