Bill Clinton to speak at the University of Minnesota

Posted:
MINNEAPOLIS (KTTC/AP) -- Former President Bill Clinton will visit the University of Minnesota next month.

Clinton will give a speech June 9 at Northrop Auditorium about the 50th anniversary of the passage of the Civil Rights Act.

The speech is part of the Humphrey School of Public Affairs' yearlong series of events commemorating the anniversary.

Organizers say proceeds from ticket sales will support public affairs student scholarships designed to promote diversity in the spirit of the Civil Rights Act.

Tickets to Clinton's appearance will be available starting at noon Tuesday
