7-mile stretch of Highway 74 re-opens north of Elba

ELBA, Minn. (KTTC) -- A 7-mile stretch of Highway 74 north of Elba has re-opened to traffic after being closed since last month due to poor road conditions.

MnDOT said the portion of Highway 74 was closed on April 1. The spring thaw and rising waterways made the road difficult to drive.

Highway 74 from Winona County Road 30 to Wabasha County Road 26 is MnDOT’s only gravel road and is within the Whitewater Wildlife Area north of Elba.
