Rochester trial attorney running for state representative

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- A Rochester trial attorney announced Friday morning he is seeking the DFL endorsement for the 26B House seat currently held by Republican Mike Benson.

Richard Wright is a graduate of St. Olaf College and Marquette University Law School. He has also served as a Judge Advocate General for the U.S. Army Reserve at Fort McCoy.

"As a lawyer I actually understand the law right? I deal with it on a daily basis," said Wright. "I have that advantage, I'm also an advocate and a litigator so I know how to be an advocate for people and for a community."

Wright's family joined him for the announcement Friday morning at the Olmsted County Government Center.
