MANKATO, Minn. (KTTC) -- The Blue Earth County Sheriff's Office is investigating a deputy-involved shooting in Mankato.

Deputies were assisting the River Valley Drug Task Force with an arrest about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at West Lind Street and Range Street when Marlow Shelton McDonald, 31, drove at two squad cars.

When a deputy got out, the Blue Earth County Sheriff's Office said it appeared McDonald was driving right at him. The deputy fired several rounds at McDonald. After a short pursuit, McDonald and his passenger were taken into custody.

No law enforcement personnel were hurt.

The deputy who fired his gun was placed on paid administrative leave.
