Babies"R"Us in Rochester briefly evacuated after heating unit overheats

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- Babies"R"Us in Rochester is now cleared after a smoke scare Wednesday morning.

The Rochester Fire Department was called about 10:30 a.m. to the scene after employees believed there was smoke in the building.

Firefighters arrived and evacuated the building for about ten minutes before discovering there was no smoke inside.

An auxiliary heating unit in the entryway had overheated and was omitting a light odor.
