Tomah-Holmen duel ends in a tie at Thienes Invite

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW)  The Holmen and Tomah boys golf teams settled for a tie for first place at the Joe Thienes Invitational Monday at Forest Hills Golf Course.

Both shot a 305.

Holmen placed 4 golfers in the top 8, led by Eric Olson's 75 on the par 71 layout.

Tyler Church and Drew Schroeder had 76's.

But Tomah teammates Trey Hewuse and Damon Gnewikow tied for meet medalist honors with 74's.

Winona was third in the team stadnings with a 321.
