UPDATE: 3 in custody after downtown Rochester robbery

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- A man was injured in a late night robbery in downtown Rochester.

Rochester police said a man was walking near First Avenue and Second Street Southwest just before midnight Tuesday. That's when he was approached by three men who talked to him, assaulted him and took off with his iPhone.

Police said a maintenance worker nearby witnessed the robbery and called police.

Officers caught up to and arrested Michael Allen Johnson, 19, Alec Jordan Wiste, 20, along with a 17-year-old.

All three are from Rochester and face first-degree aggravated robbery charges.

The victim suffered a minor head injury.
