ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- Rochester police are investigating another armed robbery connected to a listing on Craigslist.

Officers were called about 9:20 p.m. Monday to the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 2800 block of Charles Court Northwest.

Rochester police Capt. John Sherwin said a Rochester man had gone to the parking lot to meet with someone selling a phone on Craigslist.

When the man arrived, three men were waiting for him including one with a gun. The men, according to police, robbed the man of several hundred dollars.

The victim was not hurt.

A similar robbery happened in northwest Rochester Sunday night. A 29-year-old Rochester man told police he had texted a seller to purchase an item off of Craigslist and complete the deal in person.

Capt. John Sherwin said the victim reported arriving at the 54-hundred block of Duvall Place NW around 8:30 p.m. Sunday where he was greeted by three men.  One of the men was holding a box and asked the victim if he had the money for the purchase. When the victim said yes, one man pulled out a gun, and another pulled out a knife and demanded his money.  Capt. Sherwin said the victim contended the men snatched his money and then took off.

Two of the men are described as 6-feet tall, and one man was shorter than the two.  The victim said they were black and spoke Arabic.

Rochester police ask anyone with information to call Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
