Pitch to bring 2018 Super Bowl to Minnesota

MINNEAPOLIS (KTTC) -- The city of Minneapolis will make its sales pitch Tuesday to bring the 2018 Super Bowl to Minnesota.

The group, Meet Minneapolis, worked late Monday to complete their bid.

While the new Vikings stadium will help to grab attention, officials said they'll need to show the NFL other reasons to choose Minneapolis. That includes things like hotels, transportation, and tax breaks required by the NFL.

Minneapolis will send a delegation to Atlanta in May to make a presentation to NFL owners.

Minnesota's chances will be much higher if tax breaks are passed by then.
