Drug deal goes bad outside Rochester theater

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- Rochester police are investigating a drug deal gone bad outside a popular movie theater.

Police said a 20-year-old woman and 19-year-old man had agreed to meet two men to buy marijuana in the parking lot of the Paragon Chateau 14 theater at about 9:45 p.m. on Tuesday.

The two men got into the back of the couple's car, and showed a handgun and pulled out a tazer, which they used to assault the man and woman. The couple told police they managed to get out of the car and ran for help.

The two men fled the scene with a small amount of cash and a phone they took from the couple. The men were last seen driving an older green Chevy van. If you know anything that could help investigators, please call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
