Another new subdivision in the works southeast of Rochester

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- Planners have been working with a developer on yet another new subdivision southeast of Rochester.

If approved, "Colonial Oaks Five" will be built on land west of 60th Avenue Southeast north of Marion Road.

Developer Fred Schmidt has the approval of the Marion Township Board.

The Olmsted County Planning Advisory Committee reviewed his plans Thursday night.

He wants to create a subdivision of spacious homes on lots more than two and a half acres each.

If approved, there would be 28 lots sold along two new streets, and each home would have its own water, well, and sewage system.
