ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- Friday was Match Day for 44 students at Mayo Medical School.
The class of 2014 met at the Mayo Foundation House and tore open envelopes to find out where they'll spend their next three to seven years of residency.
Seventy-five Mayo Medical School students were matched with their first choice hospital. Fifty-one percent of the 44 students will be working in primary care.
Across the country, more than 17,000 medical school seniors and 16,000 other applicants received Match Day results on Friday.
