ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- The ground may still be covered in snow, but it was a packed house Thursday at the Soldiers Field club house.
Rochester residents gathered there to give their input on the future of the park and golf course.
There are four concepts developed, but the main focus is on the future of several aspects of the park including the pool, golf course, and gardens.
One of the biggest questions is whether to get rid of the golf course all together of have a nine or 18 hole course, and there has been a lot of feedback.
"A lot of comments are about golfers," said Mike Nigbur of Rochester Parks and Recreation. "A good share of our golfers are here the earlier part of this meeting and 'keep the golf course' is the initial timeline."
Construction on the park would take place anywhere from three to ten years from now.
The plan also needs to go before the City Council and Park Board.
