ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- The World Wide Web celebrated its 25th birthday on Wednesday.

In March 1989, British computer scientist Tim Berners-Lee wrote a proposal describing what would become the "global hypertext system." The system of linked pages became the World Wide Web we enjoy today.

To celebrate the World Wide Web's birthday, we're taking a look at KTTC.com through the years. Thanks to the Wayback Machine, we were able to get screenshots of the KTTC.com home page going back to 1996!
