MINNESOTA LAKE, Minn. (KTTC) --  A carjacking suspect who eluded authorities after a standoff in Austin last month has been arrested.

Deputies arrested Thomas Kendricks III, 23, on Friday just south of Mankato.

Faribault County Sheriff Mike Gormley says a SWAT team entered the building where Kendricks has been hiding out and arrested him. No charges have been filed yet.

Deputies also found a 14-year-old girl with the suspect who has been missing from the Mankato area since late January. The sheriff says the girl was not harmed.

Kendricks is wanted for armed robbery and carjacking in a case that also involved an armed standoff in Austin in January.

Police searched a home in the 1100 block of 8th Street Northwest in Austin, after a nine-hour standoff, but Kendricks had eluded them.
