City of Rushford settles legal dispute over abandoned project

Posted:

RUSHFORD, Minn. (KTTC) -- The City of Rushford has settled a legal dispute with a development company over the abandoned project to build a community center and hotel.

City Administrator Steve Sarvi said the payment of $150,000 to Guardian Inn of Rushford LLC is for work already done by the developers, and will prevent any further legal exposure or other damages in the 2009 project.

The city was unable to find financing for the project, and the legal dispute has been festering for more than two years.
