MADISON, Wisconsin (WXOW) The fax machine in the football office was getting a workout at Camp Randall Stadium Wednesday.
The Badgers reeling in a big class on National Signing Day.
Badgers Head Coach Gary Andersen announced the addition of 30 young men, 25 scholarship athletes and five walk-ons.
It's a big class that rivals.com ranks 33rd in the country.
Andersen was clearly looking to add speed to the program.
He signed two big-time running backs and five receivers.
Andersen hinted some of those receivers could see immediate playing time.
"If you look at that position and you go through the recruiting process it became very apparent that we were going to get attacked. Wisconsin doesn't throw the ball, why would you go there, you're never going to get the ball thrown to you? But these men understand the vision and the direction the offense wants to go and where we want to take the offense and we definitely upped ourselves in the competitiveness and their want-to to help the offense change. Football becomes a lot easier when you have some playmakers," Andersen said.
