ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- An urgent challenge for the aging Mayo Civic Center in Rochester.
Crews were forced to jackhammer the concrete Tuesday on a first floor lobby in search of a water leak.
The concrete is being removed just south of the north lobby, in a part of the Civic Center with pipes more than fifty years old.
Crews dug 8-feet into the concrete.
Just last month, Gov. Dayton unveiled his billion-dollar bonding proposal. The Mayo Civic Center expansion and renovation is on the list.
