ALTURA, Minn. (KTTC) -- Some small outdoorsmen may have some big stories to tell after this weekend, as dozens of children participated in Whitewater State Park's Take-A-Kid-Fishing event.
Families met at the park before heading to Half Moon Landing to dig into the icy waters and drop their lines.
Some kids got lucky and caught some blue gill fish, although they said it wasn't their first time on icy waters.
Whitewater State Park provided families with equipment and bait at the free event.
