Rochester's Sisters of St. Francis hold series on preventing human trafficking

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- For over a year, the Sisters of St. Francis in Rochester have been waging war on the social issue of human trafficking through the educational series--"Breaking the Chains of Modern Day Slavery."

Many area residents attended the third part of the series at Assisi Heights Saturday.

During this part of the series, exhibitors and panelists focused on educating the public on keeping kids safe and identifying predators.

Minnesota ranks 13th in the country in human trafficking cases.

The Sisters of Saint Francis will be holding a forum for parents and caregivers at Assisi Heights in February.
