Local teen honored at NFL game


DENVER, Co. (KTTC) -- If you were watching the Bronco's game tonight, you m ight have seen a local teenager make an appearance. 

Alex Folz, of Spring Valley, competed Saturday in the NFL's Punt, Pass and Kick National Championship. He won in his age division and was awarded tonight on national television. 

The 13-year-old competed in Denver against 39 other kid athletes and won with a total score of 463 feet, 11 inches. He was one of 10 honored today at Sports Authority Field, representing his hometown state and wearing the Vikings purple and white. 

This is the 52nd annual Punt, Pass, and Kick National Championship, one of the oldest grassroots initiatives in the NFL. Folz went up against kid athletes from 26 states, distributed into 5 age divisions.
