Spring Grove boy to compete in national contest this weekend

SPRING GROVE, Minn. (KTTC) -- A 13-year-old boy from Spring Grove is getting the experience of a lifetime this weekend.

Alex Folz will compete in the National Punt, Pass and Kick Championships in Denver this Saturday before the Broncos Home playoff game.

Folz was chosen from thousands of kids across the country, and he says he's ready to compete as one of the top-5 passers and kickers for his age division.

We threw the ball around a little bit, and as you can see the young player can sure hit the mark.

In addition to playing football for the Spring Grove Lions, Alex also plays baseball and basketball. He has goals of one day playing for the Vikings in the NFL.
