Area food pantries benefit from Rotary Lights

LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) – It's the final week to see the Rotary Lights display in Riverside Park.

Rotary Lights raises money for area food pantries.

But because Thanksgiving was so late this year, the event started six days later. That means until now, volunteers were short donations.

Donations go to area food pantries, like the Salvation Army. News 19's Heather Burian spoke to Maj. Paul Moore Tuesday about how the Salvation Army benefits.
