Carolers bring Christmas cheer to Rochester

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- Christmas is just over a week away, and one group is bringing live Christmas music to locations throughout Rochester.

Monday the Rochester Symphony Orchestra and Chorale stopped at the Charter House to bring the Christmas spirit to residents there.

They also spent time singing at the Kahler Grand Hotel.

Organizers say the event helps the singers promote their group, but the most important part is seeing the joy on the faces of those who hear the songs.

"You can see people coming down the escalator singing along, smiling, small children, older people -- it's just really timeless you know for all ages," said Jodi Melius of the RSOC.

So far this year they have already performed on Peace Plaza and at the Cottagewood Senior communities, and if you'd like to catch them, they will be at Macy's and the Elk's Lodge on Thursday evening.
