Icy weather blamed for crash on U.S. 52 and U.S. 63 ramp


ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- Icy weather is blamed for a crash on the U.S. 52 and U.S. 63 ramp in Rochester on Monday afternoon.

The Minnesota State Patrol says a Ford Focus headed southbound on U.S. 52 lost control and began to fishtail at about 1:15 p.m. That's when a Volvo rear-ended the Focus

The driver of the Focus, Rosilyn Steinkamp, 20, of Grand Meadow, was taken to Saint Marys Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. A passenger in the vehicle was not hurt.

The driver of the Volvo was not hurt, according to the state patrol report.
