Meth lab investigation leads to two arrests in Decorah

DECORAH, Iowa (KTTC) -- Law enforcement in Winneshiek County uncovered a meth lab in Decorah.
Decorah police and the Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office carried out a search warrant at a home at 2474 Dogwood Road at about 7 p.m. Thursday.
Officers found evidence of a previous meth lab operation. Richard Lewis Aswegan Jr. and Amy Downing were arrested and are facing charges of conspiracy to manufacture a controlled substance - methamphetamine, possession of a drug precursor - pseudoephedrine, and possession of a drug precursor - lithium.
The Decorah Police Department, Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office, Postville Police Department, Iowa State Patrol and Decorah Fire Department responded.
