HOUSTON, Minn. (KTTC) -- A former teacher in La Crescent has plead not guilty to charges of sexual misconduct involving students.
Jason Barker was a teacher at La Crescent Montessori Academy and taught special ed at the time of the alleged incidents.
He made the not guilty plea in Houston County Court Monday morning.
Barker was arrested in January.
According to the criminal complaint, a student under the age of 13 told another teacher that 38-year-old Barker had touched her inappropriately more than five times.
Another student told police a similar story.
Barker pleaded not guilty to criminal sexual conduct in 2nd degree and not guilty to criminal sexual conduct-5th degree. A settlement conference is set for March 3 at 1:30.
